In the last few days, we spent over 12 hours receiving instruction by servants of God who have taught with power and authority resulting in an outpouring of the spirit. The first 6+ hours was at the mission conference/tour presided over by Elder Bennett. We’ve never experienced this kind of motivation and intense, inspired instruction for this length of time before.
The second opportunity came from stake conference two days later presided over by Elder Dunnigan. We feel like we have been taught from on high in every sense of the word.
A few thoughts that I recorded:
Spiritual power comes only with the righteous use of agency.
The greater the measure of obedience, the greater the endowment of faith.
Rationalizing is "me" centered; our desires need to be about Him (Christ-centered), not us.
Christ never condemns. He does not condone sin, but He never condemns. He chooses not to condemn us.
There is a safe place to raise children in today's world - a Christ-centered home.
Make the Sabbath a delight. Consider what Christ went through to make the Sabbath His day.
Christ can fix ANYTHING. He created it all.
Three goals Heavenly Father and our Savior have for us (as presented in mission president training):
1. Gather scattered Israel;
2. Seal families together
