At the beginning of January we had a mission conference with Elder Jose A. Teixeira and Elder Adrian Ochoa. Elder Stevenson was expected, but he was given a last-minute reassignment. Below is the picture taken at that zone conference. Can you find us?

I was taught something unique from this conference through example and through the spirit. These men of the Seventy often accompany an apostle. (Elder Teixeira came to our mission when Elder Holland visited last October.) When they do, they sit through many hours of meetings (i.e. mission conferences, trainings, stake meetings, firesides, etc.) and provide "invisible" support. They are usually called upon to bear a brief testimony, but otherwise they are quietly present in the background through meeting after meeting. How many hours they must sit through on a regular basis, listening to messages they have likely heard given before. This had an impact on me because it is not unlike how we spend a significant amount of our time each week. Their attendance obviously plays a necessary role . . . just as I hope ours does on a smaller scale.

Good insight!
