Entering the Valley of the Sun . . .
On March 2nd, we returned to Mesa after spending 18 months in Albany, New York. Transitions are seldom easy, and this one has been bittersweet.
We were released that same evening.
While we miss the people we met and the opportunities that come with serving a mission, we are grateful to be back home. We are excited to see family and friends and little changes in the community. We have been unpacking, organizing and getting reestablished at home.
This is one of our projects - planting flowers off the front porch. Ruby (born right before we left for New York) loved working with Grandpa.
We've also enjoyed some great Mexican food - something we craved for over a year. So far we have had a green corn tamale at Nando's, a Flying Saucer at Tia Rosa's, and a Sandy's Special at Matta's. It helped to make up for all the fast food on the long drive home.
For anyone reading this that would like to hear us report our mission, it will be on March 13th at 1:30 p.m.
