Canoeing the Susquehanna River

For several years Elder Ellsworth has had a goal to canoe past the Aaronic Priesthood Restoration site in Oakland, Pennsylvania on the Susquehanna River. Today he checked that goal off his list.
Rachel and Cody were able to get in on this activity since they
were in town visiting. They were in the canoe with our CES supervisor.

We spent about 3 hours on the river and traveled about 7 miles downstream with a stop to check out the construction going on at the Harmony site.  It was a great experience that we will never forget. We were with 19 people and had 9 canoes . . . and surprisingly we discovered we knew most of the group - good people we got to know from our first mission. It was an activity organized by our former temple president who will be leaving in November.
A fun experience!
