Transfers Again

Wednesday will be transfers again.
We'll help by transporting the sisters to Utica.
One is going home to Orem; one is gaining a new companion to bring back to Albany.

We will also lose Elder Hawkes (going to Oneonta)
and Elder May (a zone leader going home).

Here is picture of our district minus Elder May and the sisters.  They weren't at our last district meeting because they were in Palmyra attending the temple.
Elders Hawkes, Maybe - who was filling in for Elder May - Chambers, Neus,
Speakman, Summers, and Ward
Donuts after the meeting.  Here in NY there is a Dunkin Donuts on every corner.
We pass at least 4 on our way to the branch.
In the winter, if someone slips and falls they have to buy a dozen donuts for the group.  We had 3 dozen at our last meeting, but we brought one of those and it wasn't because of slipping.  Maybe it will be good insurance.

When missionaries in the Utica Mission leave to go home,
they get to do a day trip with the mission president to Palmyra (which is outside our mission but only 2 hours from the mission home).  They attend the temple, go to lunch, and see the historic sites.

For many it is a first-time experience and a memory builder.

Below is a picture of the Sisters Hunting and Thao taken the night before transfers.
