Stake Relief Society Temple Trip

Earlier this month our stake had a Relief Society Temple Trip.  Over 70 women drove close to 200 miles to attend the temple.  Many came on Friday evening to attend a fireside with our new temple president in his home.  He was less than a week new to his calling.

Arrangements had been made to open the temple after hours (like they do for the YSA's who come for Gathering in the Grove).  So after working our Friday evening shift from 4:30 to 9:30, we stayed on to work from 10 p.m. until midnight.

Elder Ellsworth served as the baptistry coordinator that night and supervised over 300 ordinances there.

I was asked to be one of the two initiatory leaders.  We used both the women's and the men's sides and kept busy.

It was a wonderful evening.  We were back again at 8 a.m. for our regular Saturday morning shift.  The temple was filled with Relief Society sisters again that morning.  They had a wonderful experience. We had between 10-15 from our ward who came. It was a privilege to serve them as they served in the temple.
