Near the monument marking the birthplace of Joseph Smith are other sites of historical significance.
Below is a picture of the site of the Solomon Mack home. Lucy Mack Smith's father bought a 100-acre farm in Sharon, Vermont and rented an extra house on it to his son-in-law.
Not far away and on the same property is the home site of Daniel G. Mack.
To get to this site, you cross the Old Stone Bridge . . .
. . . and you see the remnants of a section of the rock walls that were found on both sides of the highway.
This area held a lot of interesting historical information relative to the family of the prophet.
