Splashes of Color

For the last three weekend trips to Pennsylvania, we've been noticing subtle changes in color as we travel through richly forested areas.  The rolling hills of green are starting to fade - resulting in a pallet of colors.  We see a variety of shades of green and yellow with a little orange and red thrown in the mix.  Autumn isn't in full-swing yet, but it is so fun to see the color increase week-by-week. A couple of weeks ago we'd be driving along and one branch on a tree would have the most beautiful orange leaves while all around it was still green.

We have not seen autumn for so many years that we are particularly enjoying this wonder of nature.  In a few more weeks we plan to drive through northern New York and come down through Vermont to find all the color we can.  We'll take our camera and post our own pictures then.
