Living in a Barn . . . Not Quite

On the weekends we travel by assignment to Warren, Pennsylvania to attend church.  Most weeks we leave right after our temple shift on Saturday morning and make the three-hour drive.  On a good night, we get in 4-5 visits before calling it a day.  These visits are spread out over a large, rural area, not like what we are use to at home.

The picture below is where we spend the night.  It is the cutest little apartment inside this Amish-built barn.  Living in the house next-door is a wonderful couple who are active members from California and a strength to the church in this area.  He serves on the High Council, and she is the Stake Primary President.  During the summer they invite their grandchildren, one at a time, to come for a couple of weeks of one-on-one time.  We love this little "home away from home."
