This week we had the opportunity to teach the training portion of inservice to seminary teachers in two Texas stakes - Plano and Richardson. We were grateful for this experience to grow, to teach, and to testify of Jesus Christ. These two inservice were the last to be held . . . ever! Starting in the fall, one-on-one conversations with the coordinator, many via FaceTime, will take the place of early-morning or evening training meetings. It has been a blessing to get-to-know and visit the seminary classes of these wonderful and valiant teachers. Some classes are held in churches, some in homes, one was in a club house of a gated-community. All have an abundance of the Spirit, and most begin at 6am, a time when most of their peers are still sleeping - even the full-time missionaries, who aren't required to start their day until 6:30am. The good these teachers do in shaping lives and building the kingdom of God cannot be overstated. It makes us proud to know that a couple of our own adult daughters fill this important role in teaching early-morning seminary. The sacrifices of this calling are greater than most, but these sacrifices bring great blessings to them and those they love. Visiting these classes has been a choice part of our mission.
