On Friday we visited an early-morning seminary class in Plano. The teachers wrote about it in their class newsletter:
"Elder & Sister Ellsworth are Seminary and Institute Missionaries from Mesa Arizona. This is their third full time mission and they are a dynamite team. They came to observe our Doctrinal Mastery portion of our class on Friday and we loved having them with us. Sister Hadfield had kind of a “Trick or Treat” idea for their visit. So far this semester, we have talked about and began learning 15 Doctrinal Mastery Scriptures. On Wednesday each class member chose one that they have loved learning about and put it into their memory banks. On Friday, Sister Hadfield asked the class if anyone would like to share a Doctrinal Mastery scripture that has meaning to them. You would have been amazed as hands were raised and as they came to the front of the class, they recited their scripture and shared the meaning it has to them. It was AMAZING!!!"
Our class visits are at the top of favorite things to do on our mission. With four stakes in our assigned area, we have 30-40 classes to rotate among. It requires leaving our apartment between 5-5:30 three times a week to be where we need to go by 6 am, but we are always rewarded. These students and their teachers are quite literally our heroes!
| Our thank-you for coming. |
