An Adventure at Temple Square

We spent a few hours in Salt Lake City yesterday with another couple from our group. So many things have changed. We walked through Temple Square, visited with a non-member couple, then visited the Church Musuem where a new 5-minute film is shown as part of the restoration display. It puts you in the Sacred Grove (think 360 degree screens and surround sound) and allows you to witness the events of the First Vision. That was my favorite part of all we saw and did there.

Next we went to the Family Discovery Center and were taken back by the flurry of activity as family members of all ages were having fun with some aspect of family history. We look forward to the one we will have in Mesa in a couple more years.

We ended our trip with lunch at the Blue Iguana. It was a cute Mexican restaurant a couple of blocks from Temple Square.
