A Good Day Trip with Good People

Last Saturday, 22 of our small congregation traveled to the Boston Temple for a branch temple day. (That's more than often come out for ward temple days back home!) 

On the way, 14 of us stopped about halfway to Boston (in Springfield) at our favorite Mexican restaurant in the East, OTB.  We were not disappointed.  In fact, it almost feels like we are back in Mesa when we visit there because, being a chain restaurant, the inside decor is so similar.

Great people who give and serve much

Something that made this trip so special is that 4 of our group were attending the temple for the first time to do ordinance work for family - i.e. parents, grandparents, and other close relatives.  (I was invited to stand in as proxy for one of the deceased spouses and other female family members.)  It was a special baptismal session! The testimony meeting the next day was likewise a special experience as many in the group shared their feelings about the temple.  We returned home about 9 p.m. very tired but happy about the service given.

We love the people we serve among here in Albany.
