We spent all day yesterday in Palmyra.
We combined our temple trip for the month with the Hill Cumorah pageant. We took four branch members with us and participated in two sessions before heading to an evening at the hill. The weather was perfect to eat and visit outdoors.
We left home about 9 a.m.and arrived in town in time for lunch. Everywhere we went, we ran into old friends. We ate chicken barbecue, salt potatoes, Chill and Grill ice cream, and Mark's pizza (not all in the same meal, or course). Being in Palmyra during pageant week is a lot like being in Salt Lake for general conference. There is a lot going on and people gathered from everywhere.
We didn't get back to Albany until 2:30 am, so today we are exhausted; but we have happy memories.
