Our first week of Christmas break was so slow
without classes to prepare for and then teach.

The second week of break was just the opposite.
We traveled from Buffalo to Boston
and had a variety of experiences in between.

We enjoyed seeing Jeff's family and being with them
on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

We stayed in a nice hotel with a fireplace and
indoor pool, so it didn't matter that
the temperature outside was in the teens,
the wind was howling, and the snow was falling.

On our way to Buffalo we stopped in Palmyra.
We attended the temple, visited with friends, and
ate at one of our favorite Asian restaurants.

The day after returning to Albany, we traveled to Boston.
We took two branch members to the temple.
On the way home we stopped at a favorite
Mexican restaurant in Springfield.
After lunch, with an hour to go,
we got into some snow and freezing rain;
but we made it to the baptism held that evening
with time to spare.

It was a good thing since I was playing the piano and
Elder Ellsworth gave one of the talks.
We were grateful for safe traveling for us and for Jeff.
