We put in some long hours each day in classes.
By 4:30 every afternoon, we are very ready to go have dinner and call it a day.

Last night after eating dinner, resting, doing our homework, and a few other necessary chores, we somewhat reluctantly decided to go for a walk around the complex even though it was already dark and time to go to bed. As we were on our last stretch, feeling like we'd really done well that day, a sea of young elders and sisters came from across the road where they attend classes heading to their apartments for the night. Mind you, this was HOURS after our classwork ended.
We felt such respect for these young missionaries. It made us think of our own missionary children, and we thought,
"We didn't appreciate and praise them enough for their sacrifices in the MTC!"
"We didn't appreciate and praise them enough for their sacrifices in the MTC!"
The point: These young people are amazing! We are here for 8 days of classes. Some of them are here for many weeks and learn to do what we learn to do in a foreign language. We end at 4:30 p.m. They go until 9 p.m. We think we have put in a full day and are so tired we want to fall into bed. They consecrate a full measure of time and effort to learning and preparing to go forth and serve.
By comparison, senior couples have it easy!
