The Rising Generation

At the end of February at the temple we assisted the Buffalo Youth Conference group who came to the temple to do baptisms practically nonstop for two days.  Over 100 youth attended and did over 2000 family names (also indexing and other related activities).  

Shuttles ran continually back and forth from the stake center bringing small groups every half hour or so.  Consequently, most missionaries were assigned an extra shift to work in the baptistry although there was little for us to do since the adults who came to assist did the majority of the work.  It was very inspiring to watch this well-organized activity.  It was estimated that a baptism occurred almost every 6 seconds. Yeah for youth getting involved in family history as counseled by prophets!
