Tomorrow is our daughter Allison's birthday, and the whole country will be partying!
(Allison is in the middle. Don't ask.)
Family legend has it that
while I was expecting our second bundle of joy, my continual craving
for Matta’s Mexican food (particularly the salsa and chips, some of which we would
love to have right now) resulted in our second daughter having beautiful,
flaming-red hair. And with her red
hair came a very witty and charming personality.
Here are some of Allison’s
accomplishments:
- 13 consecutive years of perfect attendance (K-12)
- Speaker at her high school baccalaureate program
- Young Womanhood Recognition Award (comparable to Eagle Scout Award)
- Undergraduate and Master’s degrees from BYU in Marriage and Family
- Teacher, presenter, and therapist at BYU
- Mission to the Texas Fort Worth Mission
- A research semester in India
- Two years of doctoral degree work in Georgia
- A counselor in the stake YW’s presidency & youth speaker
- Past temple ordinance worker in Provo UT Temple
Allison has made many
friends and is loved by people in at least 4 states in which she has lived (AZ,
UT, TX and GA).
We love you, too, Allison!
