This morning we woke up to a beautiful wonderland of snow. It was on the trees which were full of blossoms, on the tulips, and everywhere you looked. We ate our breakfast next to the window so that we could enjoy the HUGE, white flakes that were coming down.
We took these pictures at lunchtime so the snow had already started to disappear.
Since we had the camera out, we decided we needed a picture in front of the map. It wouldn't be an MTC experience without a map picture.
We have totally enjoyed our first week here.
We just finished with "Preach My Gospel" training.
Starting Monday we will be receiving training at the Provo Temple for our specific assignment.
Highlights of week one include two lessons in the TRC teaching "investigators" and a devotional on Tuesday evening where we listened to Elder Lance B. Wickman.
This Sunday morning we have a special combined meeting.
We will be hearing from three general authorities since it will be Easter Sunday. We don't know who yet.
Come Thursday afternoon we will hit the road
heading east to New York.
It's been fun to have one of Kristi's former companions
as one of our teachers and to have lunch with Nori one day.
We've crossed paths with her a
couple of times as she comes here every day to teach.
For anyone reading this blog who has been a missionary
mother, I want to write that it is a delight to see the joy of elders as they pick up a package from the mail room (in our building) and excitedly tear into it. It almost moves you to
tears to hear them sing in combined meetings. Yesterday we watched as a new group of arriving elders received
their orientations and tours. Always a favorite
part of the day is meal time when missionaries come
together from all directions and we can observe
hundreds of busy elders and sisters eating
and coming and going with purpose. They are so courteous to the senior couples - holding the doors, letting us go ahead in line, and greeting us with enthusiasm and kindness.
This place is amazing!

I love the map picture! It is now my laptop background image. But shouldn't the two of you be pointing at the same place? :)
