Experiencing Utah

We've kept busy this past weekend . . .

On Thursday we traveled first to Logan to do a session there.  Doug had never been inside, and I had only been inside for baptisms as a youth.

Afterwards we did a drive-by of both the Brigham City Temple and the Ogden Temple - both under construction.

We had to go up the hill to see beyond the fence on the Ogden Temple.  Notice how the steeple of the Tabernacle
has been removed.

Here's a closer view of just the temple:

We also enjoyed a late lunch at Maddox near Brigham City.
It was a full but good day.

On Friday we decided to take the Front Runner to Salt Lake since we have never had that experience.
We connected with Trax and ended at Temple Square
where we had an adventure touring the new
Church History Museum and watching the film there,
walking through the newly opened City Creek shopping area
(stopping by the new distribution center inside Deseret Book), and enjoying lunch at the Lion House
before taking the train back to Roy.

On Saturday we returned to Salt Lake (this time with our car) and attended the afternoon session of General Conference.

We spent the rest of the weekend in Provo watching the rest of conference and preparing ourselves for entering
the MTC Monday morning.
